The XK-P suspended units have been designed for installation in the ceiling zone (inter-ceiling space) or underfloor spaces. XK-P units can be mounted in a horizontal, flat, or vertical position.
Suspended units are a special type of ventilation unit intended for use inside a building. The devices are based on a skeletal, monoblock construction on aluminum profiles. The small size and flat shape mean that the units can be installed in the ceiling zone (including suspended ceilings and under the slab), in underfloor spaces, or other similar locations. Suspended units are an ideal choice wherever usable floor space is severely limited or existing building conditions do not allow for the installation of classic devices (e.g., in historic buildings).
Relatively small dimensions, compact structure, and the possibility of installation in small spaces are the main advantages of Ratherm suspended units. The XK-P unit can be mounted in almost any position – flat, vertical (with the possibility of installation, e.g., on a wall) or horizontal. This allows for even better utilization of space within a given building.
In addition to supplying fresh air to the interior of the building, Ratherm air conditioning and ventilation devices are also used for heating, cooling, dehumidifying, and filtering the air.
In the case of devices installed inside a building, maximum possible noise reduction is extremely important. The quieter the devices operate, the greater the comfort of using the given facility. All suspended units we manufacture feature a special, compact casing that is properly soundproofed. The casing reduces the noise level to a minimum and provides thermal insulation for the unit.
One of the important features of Ratherm suspended units is the possibility of heat recovery. Thanks to this, the device becomes significantly more energy efficient. Electricity (or gas) consumption is noticeably lower, which translates to reduced operating costs for the entire system. The heat recovery function, with which Ratherm ventilation units are equipped, has a positive impact on environmental protection.
Heat recovery is possible thanks to the use of plate heat exchangers. These are devices are constructed from aluminum plates with high thermal conductivity. Warm, "spent" air, which is removed from the building, passes through the plate exchanger and heats the fresh air drawn in from outside. The appropriate design of the device prevents the air streams from mixing.
The plate heat exchangers used in Ratherm ventilation units feature safeguards that protect them against freezing.

Nominal air efficiency is a parameter that defines how many cubic meters of air will be processed per hour of operation by the plate heat exchanger used for heat recovery. For Ratherm suspended units, this value ranges from 1000 m3/h for the XK 010 model, up to 2800 m3/h for the XK 028 unit.
The recovery efficiency for the nominal capacity is 75% - 76%. The recovery power for the nominal capacity depends on the model and ranges from 13 kW up to 36kW for the largest unit.
Depending on the needs and preferences of our customers, we offer suspended units in four variants: XK 010, XK 016, XK 022, XK 028. The capacity range of individual units varies from 600 m3/h (for the XK 010 unit) up to 3000 m3/h (for the XK 028 unit). If you are wondering which unit will be the best choice, use our Unit Selection Program or contact our sales department.
The basic task of a ventilation and air conditioning unit is to supply fresh, filtered air. The quantity of air is strictly dependent on the maximum capacity of the device. The available static pressure range is a very important parameter that directly influences the final efficiency of the unit. This value tells us about the given device's ability to generate dynamic pressure.
Airflow in the system involves resistance created by friction and turbulence. Dynamic pressure is necessary to counteract this airflow resistance. Without an appropriate level of available static pressure, the ventilation unit would not be able to achieve its intended capacity.
In Ratherm XK-P suspended ventilation units, the pressure range is from 150 up to 300 Pa (depending on the device). This is an optimal level, guaranteeing efficient operation of the unit under all conditions.
In the devices we manufacture, we use high-quality radial EC fans. These fans are characterized by high efficiency with smooth rotational speed control, as well as lower energy consumption. In the case of suspended units, the noise level is even more critical than for ventilation units installed outside the building. To ensure the most comfortable operating conditions for Ratherm units, the supply and exhaust fans we use are characterized by a low noise level.
The problem of air pollution in Poland intensifies every heating season. Despite various efforts, smog continues to pose a very serious threat. Polish air is one of the most polluted counties in the entire European Union.
The air supplied by the Ratherm air conditioning unit is filtered through the use of G4, M5, and F7 class filters. Filtration significantly improves the quality of the air supplied to the building, positively affecting the comfort and health of the building’s occupants.
