Mechanical ventilation uses fans to force airflow through a building. This allows for precise regulation of the volume and direction of air supply, guaranteeing a constant flow of fresh air regardless of weather conditions.

The system is typically fully automated, enabling control over air parameters (temperature, humidity, etc.) and integration with heat recovery systems. Types of Mechanical Ventilation


Supply Ventilation


Fresh air is mechanically delivered into the interior by fans, while exhaust occurs naturally through building leakages (windows, doors). This setup is frequently used in offices and public utility buildings.

 

Exhaust Ventilation


Fans remove stale air from the rooms to the outside, which creates a pressure difference that draws fresh air in through air inlets. This type is often used in kitchens or bathrooms for the efficient removal of moisture and odors.

 

Supply and Exhaust Ventilation


This system combines both of the above—mechanically supplying fresh air and extracting stale air. Such a system ensures constant air exchange and enables heat recovery from the exhaust air, significantly increasing the energy efficiency of the installation.
